Silver birch leaves,
tatty allotments,
gathered bundles of fallen twigs,
grass and weeds, random fences,
foals and horses.

Pigs scrub
in a track‐side scrapyard,
sheep chew grass, buzzards hover,
grey clouds mass over grey hills.
